Senior Philanthropic Trust Advisory Specialist, Vice President Philanthropic Services
Rebecca Olchawa is a senior philanthropic trust advisory specialist with Wells Fargo Bank within the Wealth & Investment Management division. Rebecca serves the following areas in the Central division: New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. Wells Fargo Bank’s Philanthropic Services helps charitable individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations work toward their unique goals by providing specialized advisory services.
Ms. Olchawa works with individuals and families to define and help achieve their charitable objectives as part of their overall wealth plans. This may include gift and tax planning, multi-generational planning, reviewing estate plans, and the creation and management of donor-advised funds, private foundations, charitable trusts, and other charitable planning strategies. She also works extensively with nonprofit organizations, where she advises in the areas of gift planning, endowment management, board governance, and other management issues. Rebecca collaborates with her clients and their other advisors to leverage their resources to help maximize the impact of their philanthropy.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo Bank, Rebecca worked at the Community First Foundation in Arvada, CO as the Director of Development, where she worked with donor-advised fund holders and provided education on non-cash giving and legacy giving options. She also provided consultation to nonprofits in the areas of endowment building and planned giving. Rebecca has extensive knowledge of the nonprofit community in Colorado due to this work as well as former roles at History Colorado, National Jewish Health, and Denver Museum of Nature & Science. She has worked in the philanthropic space for more than 20 years.
Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Arts from Western Michigan University. She holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation from The American College of Financial Services and is an alumna of the Institute for Leaders in Development at University of Denver.
Rebecca resides in Arvada with her husband, two active sons, and two adorable dogs. She is a novice nature photographer and enjoys hiking and camping in the Colorado mountains.
